The last day of the current year is always destinated to recaps of the part 365. Sport has given us so many reasons to be happy. Football, basketball, the Olympics. For Serbia, that obviously had to be water polo, which definitely marked the year 2016.…

Serbia is in the mens Olympic quarterfinals! The players of coach Aleksandar Đorđević have beat China by 94:60 in a match dominated by the Serbs, supported from their fellow national team members in water polo. An even better rerun of last year’s match on the  Belgrade Trophy.

Despite China’s man to man defence, the speed and precision of Serbia, tonight playing in white, was undeniable. It has to be mentioned that team China was showing off mostly very young players, considering their most experienced generation is on their way to a well deserved retirement. Nevertheless, we are definitely going to be hearing some of these names in the years to come. Especially as the style of the European players blends with the strong Chinese work ethics.

Odbojkaši Srbije stavili su tačku na svoje putešestvije ka tronu Svetske lige na najlepši mogući način. Konačno je savladana selekcija Brazila, i to sa ubedljivih 3:0  (25:22, 25:22, 25:21).

Vaterpolo reprezentacija Srbije, završiće pripreme za Evropsko prvenstvo u Grčkoj. Ekipa Dejana Savića, gostovaće u Atini tokom narednih dana, a 5. januara se očekuje i prijateljska utakmica protiv domaće selekcije.

The Serbian Waterpolo National Team will be finishing their preparations in Greece, for the upcoming European Championship, that will be held in Belgrade. Team Serbia is expected to play a match against Greece on January 5th, as the final step before the Championship.
