Davor Štefanek has won his first Olympic gold medal. The first medal for Serbia in Rio, and the first gold in wrestling in four decades. This is what he had to say to the Serbian National TV after the ceremony, with the transcript in English. 

“The Olympic champion! Twenty years of work have payed off tonight. How are you feeling right now?”

-“I am not even aware of it yet. I can’t believe this happened. Getting into the final was a big deal. I knew I was ready…” …

Novak Đoković has proven himself unbeaten in Australia. In front of a packed Rod Laver Arena, he was able to beat Andy Murray by 3:0 (6:1, 7:5, 7:6), continuing his ruling as the Aussie Open champion.

Novak Đoković is keeping his traditions. Another season ended by winning the London Masters tournament. Of course as World Number One. 

After beating Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer was the last hurdle to another trophy for the Serbian king of sport. The match ended by 6:3, 6:4 in sets, giving Novak 11 titles in as many months. A year to remember, his best so far.

World’s No. 1 and a true ace of the sport Novak Đoković has won his second US Open title, and his 10th Grand Slam. After beating Roger Federer (6:4, 5:7, 6:4, 6:4), in an increasingly hostile environment (i.e. crowd reactions), he stayed graceful in his speeches, and answering the questions of journalists.

Još jedna fenomenalna pobeda svetskog broja jedan, Novaka Đokovića, nad Rodžerom Federerom. Drugi trofej US Opena i ukupno deseta Grend slem titula u karijeri. Pred nesumnjivo neprijateljski nastrojenom publikom, Novak je ostao miran i hladan, ali je nakon trijumfa i pre svih intervjua, ugrabio priliku da proslavi završetak sjajne večeri sa svojim timom. Spontano je došlo i do povika: “THIS IS SPARTAAAA!” sa filmskim Leonidom, koji je srpskog šampiona pratio iz lože.

Another victory of a true champion. Usain Bolt wins gold at his favorite, 100m run in the Beijing World Championship. Another proof of absolute dominance over the rest of the world.

Jusein Bolt je postigao vreme od 9,79. Svakako ne njegov najbolji rezultat, ali dovoljno dobar da ponovo pokori sve ostale.
