Last night marked the last match of Kobe Bryant’s career. A career so long and prosperous, it is only an example for the generations to follow. The match itself, against the Utah Jazz was overshadowed by the fact it was Mamba’s last. And he went all out, scoring a whopping 60 points.
The emotions ran wild, as the crowd cheered his name:
I can’t believe how fast 20 years went by. This is crazy… This is absolutely crazy. I grew up a die hard Laker fan. I knew everything about every player that’s ever played here, so to be drafted and then traded into this organisation and to spend 20 years here… I mean, you can’t write something better than this. (…) All I can do is thank you guys for all of the years of support.
And you know what’s funny, the thing that had me cracking up all night, was the fact I go through 20 years of everybody screaming to pass the ball, and last night they’re like: “Don’t pass it!”. This has been absolutely beautiful. I can’t believe it has come to an end. (…) Thank you, guys, from the bottom of my heart. To my family, thank you for all your sacrifice. (…) What can I say? Mamba, out.

In another spectacular weekend of basketball, the West has beat the East by 196:173 in what could have been a 200 point game for the Western Conference. A great victory for Kobe Bryant’s 18th and final All-Star appearance, in which he scored 10 points.
Boban Marjanović scores his first NBA double-double in a 117:89 Spurs’ victory over the Suns, with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
After realising his dream and getting into the NBA, the 221cm (7’3) tall Boban Marjanović had faced doubts about his performance. During the past week, the former Euroleague MVP was transferred to the D-League and then swiftly brought back into the San Antonio Spurs, after showing everyone he is meant only for the big leagues.
Kobe says goodbye to his first love
In an emotional open letter posted to the Player’s Tribune, the amazing guard explained as to why he had to leave the court, confirming that this season will in fact be his last, playing basketball.
The sport he fell in love with since childhood, that gave him everything he could ever dream of, will not be seeing him play for much longer, due to the impact it had on his body.
So he decided to leave, on time.…
Boban Marjanović, probably the most loved Serbian basketball center in the past few years, has made his official NBA debut in last night’s game between the Nets and the Spurs. In his 5 minutes on court he has scored 6 points, 2/2 from the free throws, and 2/5 from the actual game sequences.
His first point in the NBA was in fact a free throw.
With his strong attitude on court, he has gained the respect of both the audience and his teammates, becoming the absolute crowd favorite of the evening. A great start of the season for the Bobinator.
The beginning of the world’s most important league is upon us. As the first quarters are being played around the States, you can watch the games on all of your devices, or follow the play by play on the official NBA website. All in all, God bless the tech.
This will undoubtedly be an interesting season, especially for the Serbian New Wave, looking for ways to prove themselves under the brightest of lights. Bjelica, Marjanović, even Jokić… And a reason for most of the Balkans to be staying up late at night, once again. Getting more used to the American style of play.
Košarkaški klub Crvena zvezda Telekom, dovodi novo pojačanje. Poslednji u nizu “zvezdinih stranaca” je dvadesettrogodišnji Kvinsi Miler. Rođen u Čikagu, 206cm visoki krilni igrač, dosadašnju karijeru je proveo u Sjedinjenim Državama.
BC Red Star Telekom is bringing in a new player. The last of this year’s new faces is Quincy Miller. The Chicago born, twenty two year-old, has shown great potential ever since High School, and has spent a decade playing in the States. The first significant team he formed part of, was that of Baylor University, where he was named Freshman of the Year, in his first season.…
