For the first time in a decade, Spain is out of the Euros. The revenge of team Italy couldn’t have come in a better moment for the Azzurri that won by 2:0, kicking out the reigning champion from the tournament.

El Madrid sale ganando en el Clásico

Real Madrid managed to make a complete turnover at Camp Nou, during one of the less eventful El Clásico matches in recent years. Despite the fact that Barcelona had started off with more initiative, and the fact Real ended the game with a man down due to the expulsion of Sergio Ramos, the end result was 1:2, in favor of the guests.

Red Star turns it around in Malaga

Crvena zvezda Telekom, napravila je večeras pravi preokret protiv ekipe Unikahe. Od naizgled izgubljene utakmice, crveno-beli su se potpuno vratili u igru i upisali izuzetno važnu evroligašku pobedu od 78:72. Istorijski prolazak u Top 8, na dohvat je ruke. 

Red Star makes a complete 180, as they leave Malaga with a win against Unicaja. Despite a poor impact in the first half, a change of moral and a strong shooting pace from Marko Simonović, Stefan Jović and Marko Gudurić brings another win to the Belgrade team, as they can almost taste the next stage. The final score was marked at 78:72, and only one win stands between the Serbs and the Top 8.

Završeno je Evropsko prvenstvo u futsalu. Tokom poslednjeg dana takmičenja, odigrane su dve utakmice. Srbija-Kazahstan i finale, između Španije i Rusije. Selekcija Srbije nije uspela da se oporavi od poslednjeg poraza, te je večeras ispustila bronzanu medalju. Novi šampion Evrope u futsalu je Španija.

Spain is the new European Futsal Champion, after beating Russia by 7:2, while Serbia finished 4th, after a 2:5 defeat. An evening full of goals and good moves for the ending of the European Championship.

After a very week start, Spain continues to pull through even during the final rounds of the Eurobasket. A disputed win over Greece, after which Vassilis Spanoulis announced his retirement from the National team, Spain surpassed France, during last night’s first semifinal. This year France broke the tradition, in which the hosting nation were to reach the final phases of a major tournament. A new crowd record was set, at 26.922 spectators.

After Serbia’s fantastic win over Spain (80-70), here are some of the best moves we had the chance to see, this afternoon. Truly worth watching again. All of this is part of a Eurobasket special, that will showcase the best and most interesting elements that European basketball has to offer, during this championship.

The Serbian basketball National team has managed to establish dominance and win their first game of this year’s Eurobasket

Both teams entered the match by testing the field. The players of Sergio Scariolo began with caution, missing points that they normally would have no problems scoring. A series of Serbia’s mistakes has pushed them into a fast rythm, and a solid scoring streak.

La lista ya queda hecha y España tiene a sus 12 jugadores para el Campeonato Europeo de baloncesto. Sergio Scariolo hoy ha declarado quien representará a España, como parte de la Selección nacional.

The final 12 player roster for the upcoming Eurobasket was announced today. Spanish coach, Sergio Scariolo has chosen his team, that is formed by well known stars, as well as some new faces, meant to represent the future of the Spanish National Team.  The 12 chosen ones will play two matches against Macedonia and one, against the Czech Republic, as part of their final preparations for the European Basketball Championship.

Después de la goleada en el San Mamés, con 4 goles a favor del Athletic, el Barça no ha podido remontar en el Camp Nou. El resultado en Barcelona, sólo 1-1 y una nueva Supercopa de España, en manos del Athletic.

After a 4-0 result, at the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao, in favor of Athletic, Barcelona wasn’t able to turn the result around. The second leg match has brought only two goals, and a draw. A total of 1-1, for a disappointing night for most of the fans at Camp Nou.
