At least for a few hours, we had the chance to see an epic set of players reunite for the Reds, as Old Trafford was saying: Thank you to club legend Michael Carrick.

The testimonial got players such as Giggs, Ferdinand, Vidić, Van der Saar, and Scholes out of retirement, combining current and past greats. All united under the command of the one and only Sir Alex Ferguson.

Naturally, the match was nothing short of spectacular. And quite a reminder of the good old days when United played Champions League finals and winning EPL trophies. Minus the Chevy logo.

The other side was lead by captain Terry, followed by the likes of Owen and Seedorf. Terry was naturally booed, which caused him to show off his shorts, and a bit more.

Today’s final score between the Reds and the Stars was left at 2:2. Despite a draw, the crowd had the chance to see quite a memorable match, spiced up by funny moves from players on both sides, and four goals. One of them being a Vidić classic.

His header reminded us of all the good things he and his United have done only a few years back, showing that class does last way longer than a career.

On the other hand, Carrick isn’t giving up on football. He deserved this testimonial after spending a decade at United. A decade and counting.
