La Roja echada de la Eurocopa!

For the first time in a decade, Spain is out of the Euros. The revenge of team Italy couldn’t have come in a better moment for the Azzurri that won by 2:0, kicking out the reigning champion from the tournament.

Chiellini gave a shock in the 33′ with an amazing kick towards Spain’s De Gea, while Pelle made sure the win was going to stick, scoring in the 91′ of the match. The Spanish keeper saved his team from an absolute debacle. Despite an often superior ball possession (72% vs 28% in the first half), Spain’s shots to the target were seldom. Only two in the first half, with another clear shot by Pique and Aduriz that have closely missed the mark.

Italy on the other hand was faster and more concrete in taking advantage of their opportunities, which materialized in a crucial win. A truly incredible result for Italy, that beat a truly confused La Roja. A rematch that allows them to play Germany next. No matter the future result, the European crown now awaits a new owner.
