Virtus started off with 25 points in the first quarter, keeping a double-digit lead by halftime. Despite Bursaspor‘s efforts during the third quarter it was clear that the squad of Sergio Scariolo would be leaving as victors. Meaning Virtus are going to the Euroleague next season.

However, this didn’t mean that Bursa left their guard down. Instead, they kept attempting until the very end in their first ever European final. David Dudzinski scored 14 points.

The long awaited final seemed to last even longer than the lead-up itself, which gave the chance for the fans to show their all. Both sides were loud and proud in their support.

Serbian basketball fans had an added interest towards this final. On one side Bursa are coached by Dušan Alimpijević while Virtus are lead by Serbian captain Miloš Teodosić who scored 21 points becoming the Final’s MVP.

The teams are now off to face their national championships.
