Today’s surprising, yet very impressive goal comes from Greece. A routine match between Olympiacos and Levadiacos offered a beautiful score for the Red and whites. A quick, 89th minute score, that left even the scorer, Luka Milivojević in disbelief. The former Red Star player managed to get to the ball, which then reached a very high speed, and simply entered Levadiacos’ net. At an angle too high for the keeper to do anything. Except watch his team lose the 3 points. A good start for Oly, and definitely a score to remember for Milivojević.

Lep, ali veoma iznenađujuć gol stiže nam iz Grčke. Naizgled obična utakmica između Olimpijakosa i Levadijakosa, dokaz je sportske sreće i praktične primene parole “snađi se”. Luka Milivojević, uspeo je da u gužvi sa protivničke strane terena, dođe do lopte i lagano je uputi ka golu. Ono što niko nije očekivao je velika brzina kojom je lopta poletela, te ugao pod kojim je putovala. Protivničkom golmanu nije preostalo ništa drugo, sem da gleda kako njegov tim gubi tri boda. Zanimljiva pobeda ekipe iz Pireja, i svakako gol za pamćenje za Luku Milivojevića.

Serbia ends their Eurobasket preparations on a high. With another win against Slovenia, this time by 95-88, after overtime, and various intervals in which the victory could have gone both ways.

Banjaluka’s  Borik hall was over capacity, as the crowd was ecstatic to finally be able to see the Serbian National Team live. Almost five thousand spectators sang the National anthem, as one.

An interesting game for Serbia, against Slovenia, as part of the Eurobasket preparations, and an excellent night for Nemanja Bjelica. The Serbian MVP has scored 19 points, with 4 rebounds and an almost perfect score at free throws and 2 and 3 pointers. Another proof that the forward will undoubtedly be on the final roster. 

Alen Omić, Jaka Klobučar and BC Red Star’s Jaka Blažič were noticed, on the host’s side.

Novosadska Vojvodina, propustila je večeras i poslednju priliku da se plasira u grupnu fazu Lige Evrope. Ekipa Zlatomira Zagorčića, izgubila je u oba navrata dvomeča protiv češke Viktorije Plzen. Nakon prošlonedeljnog poraza u gostima od 3-0, Lale nisu uspele da iskoriste prednost domaćeg terena, te su Česi upisali rezultat od 2-0, i lako produžili u Ligu Evrope.

After playing the last leg of the Champions League qualifications against BATE, Partizan will have to adjust their expectations and guide themselves towards to the Europa League. 

Ništa od mušeme u Humskoj. Partizan je uprkos svim nadanjima, te podršci punog stadiona JNA, izgubio šansu za odlazak u Ligu šampiona. Nije pomogao ni prelep gol iz makazica, mladog Ivana Šaponjića, samo minut pred kraj utakmice.

Kapiten KK Crvena zvezda, Luka Mitrović, produžio je danas ugovor na još dodatnih godinu dana. Dvadesetdvogodišnji krilni centar crveno-belih je imao još jednu sezonu ugovorene saradnje, period koji je upravo udvostručio, dokazujući svoju posvećenost ekipi, uprkos činjenici da je letos draftovan od strane Filadelfije.

BC Red Star’s captain, Luka Mitrović, has further prolonged his contract. The 22 year-old captain who has already had a contract signed for the upcoming season, has decided to stay with the Belgrade red and whites, until 2017. Despite the fact that he was drafted by the Philadelphia Pelicans, earlier this year.

After weeks of rumors, it seems that they the next home for Gal Mekel is Serbia. The 27 year-old point guard from Israel is about to sign his contract with BC Red Star, as the Belgrade red and whites continue strengthening all of their positions.

Remember how yesterday, the most important signing for BC Red Star so far, Sofoklis Schortanitis, had to take the bus? Well, it turns out that this move was actually a very special candid camera project, carefully planned for the strong center. A warm welcome, that I’m sure he won’t forget.

Danas je otkriveno i zašto je najznačajnije pojačanje Crvene zvezde u dosadašnjem toku prelaznog roka, Sofoklis Skortsanitis, putovao gradskim autobusom. Sve je bilo deo, pažljivo isplanirane skrivene kamere, u znak tople dobrodošlice stamenom centru. Ovakav doček, sigurno neće zaboraviti.
