But not by his own will. It seems that a human error has decided the faith of the Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea, for at least the upcoming months.

Sources say that all of the necessary paperwork didn’t make it to Spain on time, possibly due to a misjudgement caused by the one hour time difference, between Spain and the UK.

De Gea’s transfer contracts were supposed to arrive by 11pm, CET. Apparently, they were only minutes late. As the summer transfer window officially ends, in less than 15 minutes, it is only a matter of moment, when we finally get to find out the final outcome of the David de Gea saga.

As a reminder, after a summer long negotiations interval, United was supposed to get £29 million, for a chance to go back to Madrid.  So far, no official announcements were made by either teams on the matter.

Jedan od srpskih Zlatnih orlića, član omladinske selekcije koja je pre samo nekoliko meseci pokorila svet, ubuduće će igrati za crnogorsku A-selekciju.

Igrač beogradskog Čukaričkog, prihvatio je danas poziv da zaigra za reprezentaciju Crne Gore. Ova promena u mladom igraču, rođenom u Herceg Novom, nastala je kao rezultat nedostatka poziva za mladu selekciju Srbije, u okviru predstojećeg pripremnog ciklusa “Orlova”.

Selektor mladih, Tomislav Sivić, svoju odluku o izostavljanju Mandića sa spiska, je opravdao njegovom nedovoljnom minutažom u klubu, nakon koje se mladi igrač Čukaričkog nije oglašavao. Ipak, ovu bitnu promenu u karijeri, potvrdio je Tanjugu, pre polaska za Podgoricu. Ponuda iz Fudbalskog saveza Crne Gore, došla je za utakmice kvalifikacija Evropskog prvenstva. Reč je o mečevima protiv Lihtenštajna i Moldavije.

Ne iznenađuje činjenica, da je potez Staniše Mandića podelio javnost, a ostaje da se vidi, hoće li se mladi igrač pokajati zbog ovakve odluke.

Today’s surprising, yet very impressive goal comes from Greece. A routine match between Olympiacos and Levadiacos offered a beautiful score for the Red and whites. A quick, 89th minute score, that left even the scorer, Luka Milivojević in disbelief. The former Red Star player managed to get to the ball, which then reached a very high speed, and simply entered Levadiacos’ net. At an angle too high for the keeper to do anything. Except watch his team lose the 3 points. A good start for Oly, and definitely a score to remember for Milivojević.

Lep, ali veoma iznenađujuć gol stiže nam iz Grčke. Naizgled obična utakmica između Olimpijakosa i Levadijakosa, dokaz je sportske sreće i praktične primene parole “snađi se”. Luka Milivojević, uspeo je da u gužvi sa protivničke strane terena, dođe do lopte i lagano je uputi ka golu. Ono što niko nije očekivao je velika brzina kojom je lopta poletela, te ugao pod kojim je putovala. Protivničkom golmanu nije preostalo ništa drugo, sem da gleda kako njegov tim gubi tri boda. Zanimljiva pobeda ekipe iz Pireja, i svakako gol za pamćenje za Luku Milivojevića.

Novosadska Vojvodina, propustila je večeras i poslednju priliku da se plasira u grupnu fazu Lige Evrope. Ekipa Zlatomira Zagorčića, izgubila je u oba navrata dvomeča protiv češke Viktorije Plzen. Nakon prošlonedeljnog poraza u gostima od 3-0, Lale nisu uspele da iskoriste prednost domaćeg terena, te su Česi upisali rezultat od 2-0, i lako produžili u Ligu Evrope.

After playing the last leg of the Champions League qualifications against BATE, Partizan will have to adjust their expectations and guide themselves towards to the Europa League. 

Ništa od mušeme u Humskoj. Partizan je uprkos svim nadanjima, te podršci punog stadiona JNA, izgubio šansu za odlazak u Ligu šampiona. Nije pomogao ni prelep gol iz makazica, mladog Ivana Šaponjića, samo minut pred kraj utakmice.

A victory for Viktoria. After the first leg match of the final qualifying stage for the Europa League, Vojvodina loses to Viktoria Plzen, with a 3-0 score (Kopic 25′, 82′, and Vanek 47′). The players of Zlatomir Zagorčić weren’t able to neutralize the efforts offered by the Czech rival.

Viktoria’s defence was too strong, even for the talented Ožegović, Stanisavljević and Pankov. A match that was more difficult, than the Serbian team had imagined.  The Czech’s force in the defensive, mixed with the insecurity of the Serbian guests was a recipe for a fairly easy victory for the host.

It is difficult to believe that the same squad, that was able to win over teams such as Sampdoria, was able to fall so easily, at such an important stage. But all  is not lost, even though most hopes do seem to have gone down.

The rematch is being played a week from now, at the Karađorđe stadium, in Novi Sad. It will be the last step for Vojvodina to cross, in a historical run at the Europa League. They have raised the bar this season, and accomplished a great deal in promoting Serbian club football. This generation has been creating history, during the past months, and it is obvious that they can do much more. The only question is, whether or not the young team is satisfied by participating alone. Or are they able to get to the finish line first?

The first leg of the last qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League was played during the past two days. A very strong Celtic has managed to score 3 goals, against Malmö, resulting in a 3-2 score, for the Scots. There was very little doubt in the winner of tonight’s match between Valencia and AC Monaco, considering the 3-1 result, and a very little chance for the opponent to do bigger damage in the second leg match. Zagreb’s Dinamo beats Skenderbeu, as guests by 2-1.
