A victory for Viktoria. After the first leg match of the final qualifying stage for the Europa League, Vojvodina loses to Viktoria Plzen, with a 3-0 score (Kopic 25′, 82′, and Vanek 47′). The players of Zlatomir Zagorčić weren’t able to neutralize the efforts offered by the Czech rival.

Viktoria’s defence was too strong, even for the talented Ožegović, Stanisavljević and Pankov. A match that was more difficult, than the Serbian team had imagined.  The Czech’s force in the defensive, mixed with the insecurity of the Serbian guests was a recipe for a fairly easy victory for the host.

It is difficult to believe that the same squad, that was able to win over teams such as Sampdoria, was able to fall so easily, at such an important stage. But all  is not lost, even though most hopes do seem to have gone down.

The rematch is being played a week from now, at the Karađorđe stadium, in Novi Sad. It will be the last step for Vojvodina to cross, in a historical run at the Europa League. They have raised the bar this season, and accomplished a great deal in promoting Serbian club football. This generation has been creating history, during the past months, and it is obvious that they can do much more. The only question is, whether or not the young team is satisfied by participating alone. Or are they able to get to the finish line first?

The first leg of the last qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League was played during the past two days. A very strong Celtic has managed to score 3 goals, against Malmö, resulting in a 3-2 score, for the Scots. There was very little doubt in the winner of tonight’s match between Valencia and AC Monaco, considering the 3-1 result, and a very little chance for the opponent to do bigger damage in the second leg match. Zagreb’s Dinamo beats Skenderbeu, as guests by 2-1.

Na “Marakanu” stiže još jedan napadač, Predrag Sikimić.

Doskorašnji igrač Voždovca, u Crvenu zvezdu stiže nakon brojnih promenjenih klubova, među kojima su i: Lirs, Rad, Vojvodina, Ural i Smederevo, odakle je rodom.

Rođen je 29. avgusta, 1982. godine, igrao je za ukupno 12 timova, te mladu reprezentaciju SCG. Dominantna pozicija mu je centarforska, a Transfermarkt ga procenjuje na oko 250 hiljada evra.

Sa sadašnjim trenerom Zvezde je već sarađivao u ekipi Amkara i predstavlja više nego neophodnu taktičku dopunu u napadu. Pretpostavlja se, najviše Luisu Ibanjesu. Ugovor bi trebalo da bude potpisan narednih dana. Takođe treba navesti i da se u taboru crveno-belih očekuje još najmanje jedno pojačanje tokom ovog prelaznog roka.

Proteklog vikenda odigrano je ukupno šest utakmica, šestog kola domaće Jelen Superlige.

Zbog obaveza u evropskim utakmicama, te pripremama za LŠ i LE, mečevi Partizana (protiv Rada), te Vojvodine (protiv Jagodine), odloženi su za 9. septembar.

Nakon vaterpolo euforije, nastavljamo u starom ritmu. Sledi pregled četvrtog kola Jelen Superlige, odigranog proteklog vikenda.

FK Crvena zvezda odigrala je rezultatom 3-2, protiv gradskog rivala, Voždovca. Izabranici Miodraga Božovića su bezidejno ušli u meč, što je rezultovalo primanju dva gola u prvom poluvremenu. Rezultat je tada bio 2-1 u korist domaćina. U nastavku utakmice je došlo do preokreta, a strelci su bili Katai, za izjednačenje, te Viejra (60′ minut) i Luka Jović (61′), koji je postigao zaista lep gol sa desnog boka.

Izašli su i rezultati kvalifikacionog žreba za novu sezonu Lige Evrope. Srpski predstavnik Vojvodina će se za učešće u prestižnom takmičnju boriti protiv češke Viktorije Plzen. Za korak dalje i plasiranje u LE će se boriti i Steaua, prekjuče deklasirana na partizanovom stadionu, JNA. Rumunskiog šampiona očekuje duel sa norveškim Rozenborgom.

Mečevi poslednjeg kruga kvalifikacija se igraju između 20. i 27. avgusta.

After another draw of the day, the pairs were made for the last qualifying round for the Europa League. The Serbian participant, Vojvodina will be fighting Victoria Plzen. Another interesting match that awaits is Steua Bucuresti, against the Norwegian Rosenborg. The Romanian champion has lost its last european match, just two days ago, playing against the current Serbian champion, Partizan, on the JNA stadium in Belgrade.
