Košarkaški klub Crvena zvezda, upisao je danas još jednu pobedu, u okviru pripremnog ciklusa. Ekipa Dejana Radonjića, danas je savladala rumunski Temišvar, rezultatom 71-58. Odlično su se pokazala nova pojačanja, posebno Stefan Nastić, koji je ostvario dabl-dabl učinak, i to 12 poena i 11 skokova. Istakli su se i Stefan Jović, sa 11 poena, te Nemanja Dangubić sa 7 poena.

Naredna utakmica čeka crveno-bele 17. septembra, protiv ekipe Merlinsa, relativno novopečenog Bundesligaša. Do najvišeg ranga takmičenja, stigli su protekle godine. Planirano je da serijom prijateljskih utakmica, Zvezda maksimalno podigne formu, pred zahtevne evropske duele velike scene.

Nakon završena prva dva takmičarska dana na Eurobasketu, sledi kratak osvrt na stanje po grupama. Uz napomenu da grupe B i  C sutra imaju dan za odmor.  Rusija je upisala i prvi poraz na šampionatu. Srbija je pobedila Nemačku, a Španija  dokazala superiornost nad selekcijom Turske, i to najubedljivijom pobedom na dosadašnjem toku šampionata. Grčka je porazila Hrvatsku, u veoma napetom meču, dok je Slovenija savladala selekciju Gruzije. Litvanija je lako savladala Letoniju, nakon jučerašnje veoma neizvesne utakmice, na kojoj je odlučio samo jedan poen.

Another victory for Serbia, in another incredibly strong match. This time the host, Germany, has put in all of their efforts to makes sure they would make their home crowd proud.  In a very physically demanding duel, the players of coach Aleksandar Đorđević have managed to prevail over a difficult rival, allowing themselves a second win, in as many days.

Evropa, ali i ljubitelji sporta sa drugih kontinenata, su  spremni za novi košarkaški spektakl! Danas je zvanično otvoreno Evropsko prvenstvo u košarci, na kojem će snage odmeriti najbolje selekcije Starog kontinenta. Takmičenje se po prvi put igra u čak četiri zemlje, što će svakako predstavljati dodatni pritisak, kako na organizatore, tako i na učesnike prvenstva.

Europe and basketball fans around the world are ready for another show. The Eurobasket has officially started today, with a match between the Czech Republic and Estonia, in which the Czechs are currently leading. For the first time ever, the championship will be played in four separate countries. A challenge for both players and organizers.

As we are getting ready for the upcoming Eurobasket, the National teams are having their squad photos taken. Today we can see team Serbia in their new jerseys, ready to take on future challenges.

Borbeni, 196 cm visoki bek Crvene zvezde Jaka Blažič, pod znakom je pitanja za novu sezonu u crveno-belom dresu. Naime, padovi u formi tokom većeg dela prethodne sezone, naveli su brojne navijače da ga još početkom godine “otpišu”. Ipak, ne mogu se zaboraviti njegova borbenost i tvrdoglavost na terenu, kao ni brojna efikasna izdanja. Pamte se derbiji, te Budiveljnik, Cibona, Panatinaikos, Laboral Kuća… Brze kretnje, sjajni prodori i zakucavanja koja izazivaju delirijum hiljada navijača.

Dve godine, sve dobro i loše, svode se na pitanje da li bi Slovenac trebalo da ostane u Crvenoj zvezdi.

Serbia ends their Eurobasket preparations on a high. With another win against Slovenia, this time by 95-88, after overtime, and various intervals in which the victory could have gone both ways.

Banjaluka’s  Borik hall was over capacity, as the crowd was ecstatic to finally be able to see the Serbian National Team live. Almost five thousand spectators sang the National anthem, as one.

Another strong game insued, as Slovenia tightened their defence, lead by the very capable Alen Omić, while Jaka Blažič was the squad’s MVP with 19 points scored. Serbia fought back with the speed of Miloš Teodosić, with 20 points, and Nemanja Bjelica (18 points and 13 rebounds), who is becoming the absolute ace of the team.

Serbia didn’t want to dissappoint, as coach Aleksandar Đorđević’s players were aware of how important this victory would be for all of Republika Srpska. And so it was. The moment the final whistle was heard, torches were light up, as the crowd sang for its heroes. The last “Good luck!” before the Eurobasket.

Tonight was also the final game of this preparation cycle for two more players, as coach Đorđević is to announce the full roster, as well as the names of the last two members that won’t be joining the squad at the upcoming European Championship. Now all that is left, are the standard training sessions, and the trip towards what everyone hopes to be the next Euopean crown.

An interesting game for Serbia, against Slovenia, as part of the Eurobasket preparations, and an excellent night for Nemanja Bjelica. The Serbian MVP has scored 19 points, with 4 rebounds and an almost perfect score at free throws and 2 and 3 pointers. Another proof that the forward will undoubtedly be on the final roster. 

Alen Omić, Jaka Klobučar and BC Red Star’s Jaka Blažič were noticed, on the host’s side.

Kapiten KK Crvena zvezda, Luka Mitrović, produžio je danas ugovor na još dodatnih godinu dana. Dvadesetdvogodišnji krilni centar crveno-belih je imao još jednu sezonu ugovorene saradnje, period koji je upravo udvostručio, dokazujući svoju posvećenost ekipi, uprkos činjenici da je letos draftovan od strane Filadelfije.

BC Red Star’s captain, Luka Mitrović, has further prolonged his contract. The 22 year-old captain who has already had a contract signed for the upcoming season, has decided to stay with the Belgrade red and whites, until 2017. Despite the fact that he was drafted by the Philadelphia Pelicans, earlier this year.
