Serbian sides – shining in the Euroleague!
Both Zvezda and Partizan have triumphed in their away matches tonight, showing excellent European shape ahead of the holidays. The two sets of iconic Belgrade stripes ousted their rivals in key Euroleague features.
Argentina are World Champions!
After a tense World Cup final, absolutely worthy of the occasion, Argentina ousted France after penalties. A cycle is complete. Han ganado los pibes!
The final result of 3-3 brought in sufficient excitement for all of us outside the conflict. To us it wasn’t a matter of life and death. However it did feel that majority of the football-loving world was supporting Argentina. The country that truly lives for football that is now shaking with excitement and happiness for their National Team.

It’s now zero pressure to watch the World Cup from Serbia… If you know what I mean. Watching football for the simple sake of the game offers a very special charm. The kind in which you can relax with you favorite snack and enjoy seeing the ball rolling.
Today’s matches featured: Croatia beating Japan after penalties and Brazil ousting South Korea (4-1).

Tanka je linija između potpune sigurnosti u pobedu protiv Brazila i remija sa Kamerunom; očekivanja polufinala, razbijanja televizora i ljutnje navijača. Za Srbiju, zemlju koja uprkos svemu živi za fudbal, ta linija je još tanja.
Serbia: a pause in the euphoria
Serbia loses to Brazil 0:2 at their opening match, for a temporary break in the country’s World Cup euphoria.
The squad of Dragan Stojković was confident and compact, keeping the first halftime a goal-free zone, against Brazil’s shot after shot.Unfortunately, Serbia dropped the ball in the second half. Instead of showcasing their style, they proceded to lose themselves in the final 25 minutes. This was a match that wouldn’t determine anything, but that could seriously affect the energy for their upcoming performances.
…Srbija pobedila, Ataman besneo, idemo dalje
Reprezentacija Srbije nadigrala je Tursku (77:76) u meču ključnom za dalji tok kvalifikacija na Mundobasket i samopouzdanje ekipe. Hala ,,Aleksandar Nikolić” je bila evroligaški glasna, a podršku srpskih navijača su selektor Pešić i naši reprezentativci ocenili kao deo velike timske pobede.
Miciću (Efes) večeras nije bilo dozvoljeno da igra, upravo od strane turskog selektora, koji je večeras bio veoma nezadovoljan, što je posebno pokazao konferenciji za novinare. Očekivanja od reprezentacije nakon Eurobasketa su bila poljuljana u očima srpskih ljubitelja košarke. Kvalifikacioni prozori ponovo nisu dozvolili pun sastav ekipe. Međutim, upravo ovakva napeta pobeda pred protivnikom koji je u Beograd došao sa jasnim ciljem trijumfa, vraća energiju na svoje mesto. Nada za Svetsko prvenstvo je ponovo tu. Visoko.

Trideset razlike za sjajnu Srbiju
Odlična partija Srbije obeležila je pobedu nad selekcijom Finske (100:70). Igra kao iz udžbenika pokazatelj je uspešnog podizanja forme. Za sada sve teče po planu, a sedi Izrael.
Serbia beat Finland (100:70) for their third consecutive Eurobasket win after a schoolbook offence and very stable defence created a basis for a 30+ lead. So far everything is working according to the plan of coach Pešić. Next up – Israel.
