Rezultati srpskih sportista, u stanju su da obraduju i učine ponosnim gotovo svakog, ali odavno je poznato da fudbaleri Nacionalne A-selekcije u tu kategoriju ne spadaju. S druge strane, mlade nade našeg fudbala ovu tradiciju pobijaju, na radost napaćenih ljubitelja fudbala u Srbiji.
In a match that was full of political tensions, more than anything else, Serbia won their second leg match against Albania, at the Elbasan city stadium. The uneventful 90 minutes were suddenly brought to life after two quick goals during stoppage time. Serbia’s goal, during the first half of the duel (31′) was annulled, due to what was estimated as a strong contact between the Albanian keeper, and Serbia’s Zoran Tošić.
As the second half of this Euro 2016 qualifying match was lagging to a close, a beautiful pairing between Adem Ljajić and Aleksandar Kolarov, resulted in the first official goal of the night. Kolarov made sure the ball shook the net, from his left side, to the lower right hand corner. All of this, in the 91. minute.
As the home crowd was losing the energy to support their team, Ljajić is facing Berisha alone. His seamless lob shot, ended up right where it was supposed to. A total of two goals to null, as the stadium, mostly filled by the home fans was completely silenced.
The few Serbian fans that did make it to the Elbasan stadium were ecstatic, while the players ran up to them, to celebrate this moral and athletic win.
A victory in an occasion that was a lot more than just a game.
Danas su određene grupe u muškoj i ženskoj konkurenciji predstojećeg Evropskog prvenstva u vaterpolu, čiji će domaćin biti Beograd. Reprezentacija Srbije brani zlato, a čitava ekipa je zadovoljna rezultatima žreba. Čelnici LEN-a, složni u stavu da je Srbija najbolji izbor za organizatora turnira.
Prethodnih dana se pisalo o mogućim scenarijima odlaska košarkaša na Olimpijske igre. S obzirom na to da su ispustili ulazak u finale, ekipa Aleksandra Đorđevića će sreću morati da potraži na jednom od tri kvalifikaciona turnira. Izbor za organizatore bi trebalo da traje narednih mesec dana, a Srbija se danas zvanično našla među kandidatima.
Serbia’s National team wasn’t able to recover from their first defeat on the competition. Instead, they lost a chance to win the European bronze, and ended up fourth.
The players of Aleksandar Đorđević lost to France, by 81:86. A lack of initiative and precision, for a less then glorious ending of the Championship. Serbia is now left to compete in one of the qualifying tournaments, for another chance to reach Rio.

Prošlo je 11 godina od poslednjeg učešća naših košarkaša na Olimpijskim igrama. Tadašnja država se nije previše proslavila učešćem na OI. Izabranici Željka Obradovića, stigli su samo do jedanaestog mesta. U međuvremenu se propustio Peking i London.
Nešto više od decenije kasnije, jedna nova ekipa će pokušati da to promeni. Tim Aleksandra Đorđevića, vlasnika srebrne olimpijske medalje, iz svoje bogate igračke karijere će u toku narednih godinu dana juriti vizu za Rio . Prestižni olimpijski turnir će biti odigran u avgustu.

…After an incredible winning streak, of seven games and as many victories, Serbia has lost. Lithuania was the team to break this amazing score, by a 67-64 win over the Eagles.
The Greens proceed into the final, as Serbia is left to fight for bronze on Sunday against an equally disappointed France. The host intends to end the competition with a medal, while Serbia is looking for at least a third place solace. Nevertheless, the 2016 Olympics will still stay as a hypothetical option for both teams, as only the spot in the final was a guarantee for a trip to Rio.
Zna se već decenijama unazad, da je Srbija vaterpolo sila. Zna se i da su smene generacija protekle gotovo neopaženo. One koji odlaze u zasluženu penziju, nasleđuju novi, mlađi igrači, gladni pobeda i medalja. Sloga koja odlikuje srpsku vaterpolo reprezentaciju je za poželeti. Gotovo da nikada nije bilo skandala, u čijem su se središtu našli naši vaterpolisti. Ekipa o kojoj su opevane pesme, posvećivani nebrojeni dočeci, puni ponosnih i zahvalnih građana, na desetinama trofeja, čak i u najtežim vremenima.

Serbia is in the Quarterfinals of the Eurobasket, after beating a very bold Finland, by 94-81. In their first game at the Pierre Mauroy stadium, the players of coach Aleksandar Đorđević have fought their ways through the Eight-finals. A six out of six score so for team Serbia.
Košarkaška reprezentacija Srbije, uspela je danas da pobedi razigranu Finsku, i plasira se u četvrtfinale Eurobasketa. Veoma nezgodni protivnik, držao je nezivesnost do četvrte četvrtine, u kojoj su se izabranici selektora Aleksandra Đorđevića “odlepili”, sve do maksimalne prednosti od +19 poena.
Najistaknutiji igrač utakmice, bez imalo sumnje bio je Miroslav Raduljica, sa čak 27 ubačenih poena.
Snažni srpski centar je umnogome doprineo pobedi svojom stabilnošću i efikasnom učinku u reketu, čak i u momentima kada su “Orlovi” gubili od neustrašivog protivnika. Finci nisu imali šta da izgube, a to su i pokazali na parketu stadiona Pjer Moroj. Ipak, bravure Miloša Teodosića i Nemanje Bjelice, uz trojke Simonovića i Ercega, eliminisale su sumnje o pobedniku ovog meča.
