Serbia beat Finland (100:70) for their third consecutive Eurobasket win after a schoolbook offence and very stable defence created a basis for a 30+ lead. So far everything is working according to the plan of coach Pešić. Next up – Israel.

Serbia beats the Netherlands at their Eurobasket 2022 premiere. The match that left the squad of coach Svetislav Pešić in a double-digit lead during most of the 40 minutes was a good warmup session for everything that awaits. Team Serbia went from being loudly disputed from their home audience during the past two months to becoming loudly supported as the top contender for the gold. As it is widely confirmed by all relevant international rankings.

Serbia beats Greece (100:94) in a match where they lost the lead in the 4Q entering an additional 5 minutes. Team Greece was kept alive by Giannis while Serbia danced through Jokić, Jaramaz, Kalinić, Gudurić in front of some 20.000 fans. This was the night when Nikola Jokić (29p) earned his loyalty of the home crowd while Europe’s MVP Vasilije Micić got injured during the first half. Coach Pešić is proud of his boys as we wait for morning and the medical findings on Vasa’s ankle.

Serbia lost to Belgium earlier tonight (73:74) after Sunday’s match delay due to electrical issues in Čair. Despite having a two-digit lead throughout most of the match they slipped for the second time coming, which complicates their road towards the World Cup.
